Hello all,
Today is December 1, 2013 the first day of the last month in this year. As I reflected on today, I became reminded of how much beginnings and endings go hand in hand together. We are often afraid of coming to an end and likewise just as anxious about starting over again. The reality however, is that sometimes, most times, in order for something new to begin; something old has to come to an end. We all sometimes have a hard time letting go even though it means going toward something that may be better than what we are letting go of. Familiar can be a dangerous place to be lodged in because it sometimes keeps us stagnated and stuck. The unknown may be scary and unpredictable, but it does not have to be paralyzing. Instead, how about looking at it through the lenses of liberation and excitement.
Everything must change, nothing stays the same and thank goodness for that! How boring life would be if things did not change. Change is inevitable and we must allow it to be if we are ever going to grow and move forward. Seasons change and we need them to. Can you imagine winter lasting forever? People change..at least we hope they will, and hopefully they will change for the betterment of both themselves and others. Life is a constant continuum of evolving, and in order for anything to come forth there has to be starts and finishes, beginnings and endings, yet finishing does not necessarily have to be fatal or final. Sometimes it’s just the road way that leads us to something new, something fresh, something better…
As we come to the close of this year; the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another; let’s keep in mind the first is an opportunity for a fresh start, and the last may not be final , but simply the transition that you need to catapult you into the next level. So don’t be afraid just be ready.
